Privacy policy — Ordino

Last updated: V1.0 — 12 August 2026

Who We Are

This website is run by Ordino Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15999288). Registered office: 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, England

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, email us at mail@ordino.co.uk.

What We Collect, and Why

There are three ways this site handles personal data.

1. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use the site — which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, what devices they use, and roughly where in the world they are. This helps us improve the site.

GA4 collects:

  • Pages visited and time spent on them
  • How you arrived at the site (search engine, link, direct)
  • Device and browser type
  • Approximate location, derived from your IP address (GA4 does not log or store your full IP address)
  • A randomly generated identifier stored in cookies (_ga and _ga_*), used to distinguish visitors

We do not use analytics data to identify you personally, and we don't combine it with any other data we hold.

Lawful basis: your consent, which we ask for via the cookie notice before analytics cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies in your browser or updating your choice in the cookie notice.

Google processes this data on our behalf. Some processing takes place on servers outside the UK, including in the United States. Google participates in the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which provides an adequate level of protection for these transfers. You can read Google's own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

2. Newsletter

If you sign up to our newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it to send occasional updates on what we're building.

Lawful basis: your consent, given when you tick the box and subscribe.

Retention: we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at mail@ordino.co.uk and we'll remove you.

3. Email

If you email us at mail@ordino.co.uk, we'll hold your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write to us. We use this to reply and, if we end up working together, to manage that relationship.

Lawful basis: legitimate interests — responding to enquiries and running our business — or, where an enquiry leads to a contract, steps taken at your request before entering into one.

Retention: we keep correspondence for as long as it's relevant to the enquiry or relationship, then delete it.

Hosting

This site is hosted by Netlify. Like most hosting providers, Netlify keeps short-term server logs (including IP addresses) for security and to keep the site running. Netlify's servers include locations in the United States; transfers are covered by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Netlify's privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy.

Who We Share Data With

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone except the service providers named above (Google, Netlify, and our newsletter provider), who process it only on our instructions. We would disclose data if legally required to.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct it if it's wrong
  • Delete it ("right to erasure")
  • Restrict or object to how we use it
  • Take it elsewhere ("data portability")
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on

To exercise any of these, email mail@ordino.co.uk. We'll respond within one month.

Links to Other Sites

This site links to third parties, including Instagram. Their privacy practices are their own – this policy doesn't cover them.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and revise the date at the top. Significant changes affecting newsletter subscribers will be flagged by email.
